I am a full time husband and father of 4 kids. I am an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA). I have a Doctor of Ministry degree from Portland Seminary of George Fox University where I studied Semiotics and Future Studies with Dr. Leonard Sweet. I graduated with an M.Div. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and did my undregrad in Sociology at Grove City College. I am the pastor of Northminster Presbyterian Church in New Castle, PA. . I am the former temporary supply pastor at Westminster United Presbyterian Church in New Brighton, PA. Before my move to Pittsburgh, I was the director of outreach and youth ministries at Glenwood United Methodist Church in Erie, PA.
In order to go into ministry I left a really fun job. I was the director of the Leadership and Education Institute. We were a leadership development, team building, and character development company that worked with companies, athletic teams, teachers, school kids, and at-risk youth. We used experiential methods including a low ropes course, a high ropes course, and Alpine Tower, a rock wall, portable activities, school field trips, and even gourmet cooking. While it was fun and I still keep my hand in it some, I could not see myself being anything but a pastor.
